Character Development
It is our mission to develop all athletes on and off the field. Character development plays a major role in our desire to develop the total person. As a program, we are focused on having a "Growth Mindset" where we are constantly trying to be the best version of ourselves.
Servant Leadership:
Each sport program will be required to serve community service. We want each of our athletes to have an appreciation for what our community provides for us. Community service is a great way for us to give back. Some examples of community service projects are: serving the local lions club in their back to school back pack drive, serving the lions club for their angel tree mission, city park clean ups, individual community service projects.
Family Meetings:
Athletes are broken up into "Families". Each family has a coach responsible for overseeing that family. We will use our family meeting time to have character and leadership lessons, check grades, check on our athletes and how they are doing personally.
Leadership Council:
Our leadership council is comprised of athletes from each grade. The athletes are selected by their peers to serve on our leadership council. The leadership council will meet periodically for leadership training, and we will conduct a spring book study each year. Below is a picture of some of the books we have studied in the past.
